Three Quick (but important) Updates.

Hi Backers,

Three updates today.

1. A quick reminder that if you haven't received your order, it's because you still need to fill out the survey or your shipment got lost in the mail. If you are still waiting on your Edge XT please email [email protected] and we'll get you squared away.

2. We have recently identified that a small percentage of our first batch of Edge XTs had a loose safety lock. (We're now inspecting 100% of units before shipping) The lock should have a detent that holds it in the locked or unlocked position. If your safety lock  moves freely, we advise you to not carry it in your pocket or remove the blade as this is a safety concern. If your lock is not functioning properly, or if you have any other issues, please email [email protected] to let us know so we can make it right.

3. Finally, we're having a Valentine's Day Special where we are offering Free personalization on Edge XTs and Toolcard Pros at LeverGear.com. Plus, Edge XT orders get a Free blade 10-pack thrown in automatically. You don't need a coupon code.

Shipping for all completed surveys was finished 12/8

Hi Backers,

Please be aware that all rewards were shipped by Dec 8 for all backers who completed their surveys. 

If you haven't filled out your survey yet (or are unsure) we can't ship your order until your survey is completed. Look for your survey email from BackerKit or you can request your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://edge-xt.backerkit.com.

If you completed your survey but haven't received your shipment, you should have received an email from us when we shipped your order with a tracking number. If you can't find it, please email [email protected] and we'll help you out. 

For international orders it can take 2-3 weeks (or longer in some cases) Some international orders will track to your door but some may not. Please email us if you need help. 

It appears there was a small batch of packages from 11/29 that got lost by the post office. The shipments were created but never scanned in. If your tracking says label created but hasn't been scanned by the post office for 10 days, we assume it is lost. Please contact us and we will resend your order.

Shipping Nearly Complete and a TSA Update

Hi Backers,

Shipping Update

By now, most of you have gotten your Edge XTs or at least your tracking number and it's on the way. The shipping has definitely taken longer than expected due to a large number of personalized Edges and our inventory arriving right at the same time as the Black Friday rush. 

If you haven't received yours yet, we should have all orders sent out by Wednesday or Thursday. We apologize that it has take this long and appreciate your patience as we work through these last few orders.

Reminder: If you haven't filled out your survey yet, we can't ship your order until you do. Look for your survey email from BackerKit or you can request your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://edge-xt.backerkit.com.

TSA Update

We got some clarification from the TSA recently about carry-on restrictions for utility knives. Please note the you CANNOT carry the Edge XT onto a plane even without the blade. I know we said you could in our Kickstarter video and even had an excessively long shot of a smiling TSA agent, but unfortunately, that's not the case. If they determine that the Edge XT can be used as a utility knife, they will make you leave it or mail it home. Sorry for the inconvenience. If this is a deal breaker for you, contact us at [email protected] and we'll make it right.

We've already heard from many of you about receiving your Edge XTs and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. It warms our hearts to hear how much you're loving your Edge. If you're up for leaving a review, either on our website at the bottom of the Edge XT page, or on Amazon we would greatly appreciate it. And feel free to share pictures with your review or on social media. If you post on social media be sure to tag @levergear (LeverGearUSA on FB) and we will do our best to share it.

We also appreciate feedback about how we can improve. Our only request is that when you give us negative feedback, keep it constructive so we can make the product better and resist the urge for personal attacks and trash talk. Edge XTs Have Arrived and Shipping Has Begun!

Hey Backers,

After a short delay with customs, our Edge XT inventory finally arrived on Friday afternoon. Whew!

As you can see below, our crack shipping team is hard at work this weekend putting together shipments for Monday. 

It's not child labor if it's your own kid, right?

I've been inspecting the inventory and these things are looking Awesome! 

We are grateful to have found the perfect manufacturing partner for this project, who has been proactively working towards our success throughout our journey. 

We are super excited to get these shipped out to you all. Thanks in advance for your patience as we work through all the orders.

We Are Locking Shipping Addresses.

Hi Backers,

We are getting ready to begin shipping next week!!!

If you haven't completed your survey on Backerkit, now is the time. We can't send you your order until you complete the survey. The survey lets you choose your color, give us your shipping address, and finalize any add-ons you may want.

Search your email for messages from "backerkit" and you should see a link to your survey. Or you can request your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://edge-xt.backerkit.com.

For everyone else, you should have received an email from Backerkit yesterday about finalizing your address. If you have recently moved or will be moving in the next month or two, you may want to make sure your survey has the best shipping address. If your shipping address hasn't changed since you filled out the survey, you don't need to worry about this. 

Finally, we've got a small team and a lot of orders, many personalized, so we will work through the orders as fast as we can. We hope to complete the whole process in a week or two and you will get an email notification when your order ships. Please be patient.
